Contemporary art
as part of everyday life for a new concept of hospitality
Casa Trentini – Atemporary Art Apartments is an elegant building in the heart of Trento’s historic centre, at 10 Via Roggia Grande, just a few steps from Piazza del Duomo. An important part of the famous Palazzo Trentini, since 2019 Casa Trentini has been conceived as a home away from home where art and hospitality experiment with new style of hospitality.
Made up of four lofts and one suite (link to apartments page) Casa Trentini is the pilot project hosting CARTEdition, a collection of wallpapers designed by internationally renowned artists. Donatella Spaziani, Francesco Simeti, Riccardo Previdi and Patrick Tuttofuoco are the first names invited to kick off an experimental path in which art and design embrace each other through the use of wallpaper. A collection that has grown over time, involving other artists, to expand the ways in which art can be experienced and to bring it closer to the general public.
Casa Trentini is the one of a series of places turned towards to hospitality located in different parts of Italy and gathered under the label of Atemporary Art Apartments.
In addition to art and the careful design of the rooms, the distinguishing feature of the apartments is the warm welcome that enriches the trip with an intimate and personal flavor
The interior of Casa Trentini, designed by Studio Krej, offers an innovative living solution by placing a structure of iron and stratified glass in the centre of each room around which the features of the apartment are focussed. An overall renovation concept for a harmonious effect. The completely free walls host the artist’s wallpapers offering an immersive and unprecedented spatial experience.
Collaboration with a network of suppliers who have designed limited edition custom products makes these places unique, carefully designed in every detail. The seats-stools and RANDA armchairs designed by Lucidi Pevere for Arrmet have been customized for Casa Trentini by Riccardo and Mattia Meterc, masters of weaving who have been able to update the image of the classic Thonet produced in the Manzano chair district by collaborating with major companies and world-renowned designers. The glass in the interior space-architectural structures-supplied by Po.Lo Glass was also specially designed for the rooms by carefully calibrating the colour and degree of transparency of the glass.
Catalysing the interest of other companies sensitive to contemporary art and culture, Casa Trentini benefits from the support of illycaffè – hosting a dedicated corner inside each apartment – and Pinin Pero, sugar producers famous for their collection of artist packaging are present inside the Atemporary Art Apartments with dedicated sugar bags.
Casa Trentini is a creative hub, a constant drive for new ideas, products and limited edition collections that make its guests’ stay unique and special.
AtemporaryStudio, by Samantha Punis and Giovanna Felluga, expands to new territories where the two strands of research conducted by the two owners, design and art, become an integral part of the concept of hospitality, travel, vacation and stay. Casa Trentini was born as a pilot project for a new concept of hospitality in which custom services are combined with a way of living and enjoying art and totalizing and enveloping design. After years in which homologation and franchising have leveled the tastes and the precious differences of each culture, the Atemporary Art Apartments wish to underline and exalt the specificities of each place, person and context that characterizes them.
